As part of the revolution under new Rangers boss Steven Gerrard, the club have already made a couple of new signings and now the Scottish outfit have gone to Spain for their 10-day pre-season training.

While everyone could have successfully claimed that Rangers will not take and make a new signing with their manager not present but Mark Allen has clearly stated that despite Gerrard away on pre-season duty the management will keep on working on bringing new players in his absence.

Allen told the club’s official website“That is ongoing dialogue. I’ll be in Spain as well for the early part of the trip to make sure that gets underway, but we are continually in dialogue every single day about players in terms of how they are doing and other targets etc.

“So it is an ongoing thing, and as I said to the press guys early doors, it is a long window and things tend to happen as the window evolves.

“People become available, people become surplus etc. so I think it is something which will go all the way to the end of August.”

The Ibrox outfit have been linked with a loan move for Stoke City striker Saido Berahino who has not been able to find the back of the net for the Premier League side for 16 months.

There have also been reports that the Rangers manager is planning to make a move for Manchester City prodigy Phil Foden with the hopes that Guardiola will release him on a season-long loan.
