Liverpool sold off Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona last year and everyone was expected the Reds to falter without their star player.
But instead, Jurgen Klopp’s men have gone on to win the Champions League while Philippe Coutinho is on the verge of leaving Camp Nou.
The Brazilian has had a disastrous season with the La Liga giants having scored just 11 goals and made five assists in 54 appearances for the club.
Barcelona are believed to be fed up with the winger and want to sell him off during the summer.
And up until now, Man United were heavily being linked with the 26-year-old.
Man United have real problems down that left wing and many experts believed that bringing in Philippe Coutinho might eventually solve that problem.
Now though, it looks like there is a very realistic chance that Coutinho might return back to Anfield during the summer.
While Jurgen Klopp would surely love getting back the Brazilian but we do not know how the fans will feel if this transfer ultimately comes to the limelight.
Having said that though, PSG are said to be ahead of both Man United and Liverpool in the race to signing Philippe Coutinho and the biggest reason is the purchasing power of the Parisian outfit.
Barcelona will obviously try to recover the £142million they spent on signing the Brazilian and right now it is only PSG who can afford to pay such a huge amount without any major hesitation.
Man United too have a big transfer budget for the summer but given that they already want to spend a big amount of money into bringing in De Ligt, we are not quite sure how much will Solskjaer be left after that.
