Rangers FC are reportedly planning on bringing in as many as four new players during the summer and each time the Gers drop points those rumours are picking up more wind.

The Tedy Bears dropped points yet again – this time to Dundee after Steven Gerrard’s men were held to a 1-1 draw.

Rangers were poor in every department on the pitch and there is not one positive that the manager can take out of this game.

They will have to bring in a couple of new players in order to bring the competitive spirit back into the squad but some of their targets are already hot properties in the transfer market.

Rumours have it that Steven Gerrard is planning to make a move for Kilmarnock midfielder Jordan Jones.

Jones has entered the final six months of his contract and Rangers want to put in a bid for the player at the start of the new year.

But now reports are suggesting that Premier League outfit Burnley also want to sign Jordan Jones and they are ready to shell out a big deal of money on the player.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has grown a liking towards the midfielder and he is willing to pay as much as £1 million for him.

Jordan Jones has plenty of experience of playing in England having started his career at Middlesbrough and he eventually moved to Kilmarnock during the 2016-17 season.

During his past two seasons, Jordan Jones has played a total of 83 games for Kilmarnock and now with him becoming a free agent, Rangers were hoping to bring him in for a nominal fee.

Now that Burnley have entered the race, the whole situation changes for Rangers FC since the Premier League club will not shy away from spending the big bucks for Jordan Jones.
