Rangers vs Leipzig

Rangers FC have so far signed 12 new players during the summer transfer window and two more players are expected to arrive on Thursday.

Defender Joe Worrall and Eros Grezda are almost confirmed signings for the club and the deals are now in their final stages.

Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall is expected to arrive on a season-long loan deal and with that Gerrard will finally get that much desired third central defender who can provide back-up to Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic.

Osijek winger Eros Grezda is also expected to arrive on Thursday as a direct replacement to the injured Jamie Murphy and the only thing that is holding back the deal now is a work permit.

Both Osijek and Rangers have reportedly agreed on a sell-on clause and the Scotland outfit will make the deal official as soon as Eros Grezda get a valid work permit.

Apart from these two players, it is being reported that the Gers can also get their hands on Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke.

Liverpool already have the likes of Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge as their first choice striker meaning that Origi and Solanke are the fringe parts in the attacking lineup.

While Liverpool are ready to offload Origi but they will only do so if they receive a substantial fee for the striker. And with only one day to go in the summer transfer window, it seems highly unlikely that Divock Origi will move out of Anfield.

In such a scenario, Dominic Solanke will have no role to play in the first eleven meaning that Steven Gerrard still has an outside chance of signing him before Friday.

We are still not sure if Rangers will make an official move for Solanke but given that Bordeaux are after Alfredo Morelos it should not come as a total shock if the Gers try and sign Dominic Solanke from Liverpool.
