Ryan Kent was a key figure for Rangers last season and Steven Gerrard has been trying to bring him back for yet another loan spell.

And recently, Steven Gerrard made it pretty clear that he is willing to wait until the final day of the transfer window in order to bring the winger back to Ibrox.

Gerrard said: “Am I willing to wait until the last day of the window for Kent? I’m willing to wait until the last second.

“I’ll give it to the very last second to get Ryan back here. He’s an exception because he was outstanding last year. I feel he’s ready to go again, with the confidence he should have from last season.

“But we’re still talking about a player who belongs to Liverpool. They’ll make the decision on him and we’ll be totally respectful to the club and Jurgen Klopp.

“Everyone knows I want him back and I’ll give it until the last second. But if it doesn’t happen, it doesn’t happen.

“I haven’t spoken to him for a while, so we’ll wait patiently to see if he wants to come back and respect Liverpool’s decision.”

Now though it looks like Rangers will have to forget about bringing back Ryan Kent since Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has made it clear that the winger will not be heading out on loan.

The manager has confirmed that the club are now looking for a permanent buyer for Kent saying(as reported): “His time is over for loans,

“At the age, he is now, he needs to find a place where he can settle. We will see what happens but a loan is not planned.”

Liverpool have put a price tag of about 10-12 million pounds on Ryan Kent which effectively puts Rangers out of the race to sign him permanently.

That amount of money will be a huge deal for the Gers to arrange which means Steven Gerrard should not shift his focus towards signing another winger.
