Rangers FC currently have Alfredo Morelos as their first choice striker while summer loanee Umar Saqid is the backup.

But the fans know pretty well that if the Gers manage to get into the Europa League then playing with only two strikers will take a definite toll on their team.

And even Steven Gerrard is aware of this fact and the manager is desperately trying to bring in a new striker.

Rangers have had their eyes set on Hearts’ Kyle Lafferty for some time now and it seems that the Light Blues are making one final attempt to bring back the striker to Ibrox.

Gerrard had made a bid of around £200,000 for the services of Lafferty a couple of weeks ago but that was swiftly rejected by Hearts as it was way less than what the club were demanding for the 30-year-old.

But now it seems that the Gers are planning an improved bid for Kyle Lafferty.

According to Starsport, the Ibrox outfit is ready to offer £750,000 plus Lee Wallace in exchange for Lafferty.

Some reports have claimed that Rangers had already offered £200,000 plus Wallace but Hearts do not want anything less than £750k.

Wallace has had a tough couple of months at the club and his issues with the Gers management have prompted many to believe that the left-back would be sold off during the summer.

Steven Gerrard though had rubbished all these rumours a couple of months back claiming that if Wallace can sort his issues with the management then he is welcome back at the club.

But now that the Light Blues have signed Borna Barisic, it seems that they have no use of Lee Wallace and are willing to use him as a counterweight for the transfer of Kyle Lafferty.
