West Ham United saw off the challenge from Crystal Palace as they picked up their third win on the trot.

The Hammers went behind early in the first half through a goal from James McArthur but then Manuel Pellegrini’s side came alive in the second half.

Goals from Robert Snodgrass, Javier Hernandez and Felipe Anderson gave West Ham a 3-1 lead in the game.

A 76th-minute goal from Schlupp did hint at a possible fightback from Crystal Palace but in the end, the Hammer held on to pick up all three points.

And one player who particularly impressed during the game was winger Robert Snodgrass.

Snodgrass was not the first choice winger for Manuel Pellegrini when the former City boss took charge of the club during the summer but with each passing game, the 31-year-old has won back the faith of his manager.

And even Manuel Pellegrini has not shied away from talking about the player’s growth in this campaign.

“There were very few words that I spoke with him at the beginning of the season. I gave him some demands about his weight, about his work.,” Pellegrini said about Robert Snodgrass.

“Yes, I am very pleased for Robert. He deserved it because he works so hard for all the game, he is absolutely committed with this project and this club and I am very happy for him.”

Summer signing Andriy Yarmolenko was preferred to Robert Snodgrass during the initial months of the new season but the long-term injury to Yarmolenko seems to have seriously helped Snodgrass.

So far Robert Snodgrass has made 15 appearances in the Premier League – scoring one goal and providing three assists.
