Liverpool winger Ryan Kent had a superb season with Rangers scoring six goals and making nine assists during his 43 appearances for the Gers.

And right now a number of clubs want to sign him during the summer transfer window.

Leeds United want to sign Ryan Kent on loan for the upcoming season while newly promoted Premier League club Aston Villa are interested in a permanent deal.

But despite that most experts are certain that it will be Rangers who will secure a loan deal for Kent.

Now though it looks like Steven Gerrard’s plans might have hit a huge roadblock as Liverpool seem to be demanding more money for agreeing on the loan deal.

Football Insider reported: “Rangers must pay an increased loan fee to re-sign Ryan Kent for a second season, Football Insider can reveal.

“The Glasgow giants are working on a deal to recapture the winger from Liverpool after his successful debut campaign ended with the Scottish PFA Young Player of the Year award.

“A Rangers source has told Football Insider that the club remain in talks with the Champions League winners about signing Kent and are hopeful they can win the race for his signature.

“But Liverpool want a higher loan fee for the 22-year-old than what Rangers paid in the summer of last year, which was well in excess of £1million.”

Liverpool are obviously playing the smart game here since so many clubs are interested in signing the winger.

Ryan Kent recently said“I want to kick-start my career somewhere now. I am tired of changing clubs each year, I want to settle down somewhere,

“Liverpool have been good to me, but the enjoyment factor of going back there each year and doing well in pre-season and going back out on loan, it is a repetitive cycle.

“I have three years left on my contract at Liverpool and there’s not much I can really do.”

And keeping in line with this statement Liverpool have also put Ryan Kent up for sale for a transfer fee of around £10 million(an amount which Rangers can never afford to pay).

But the Anfield outfit know pretty well that even if the Gers back out from the deal, there are a number of other clubs waiting in him to sign the winger.
