Ryan Kent has been the subject of debate of a number of months now and to be honest it is now becoming a bit frustrating.

Rangers have always maintained that they want to bring back the winger for another loan spell this summer but Liverpool just cannot seem to make up their mind.

Initially, the Reds were ready to send Ryan Kent back out but now it looks like Jurgen Klopp is not ready to part ways with him.

Leeds United and Rangers are the two clubs interested in signing the youngster on loan but right now there seems to be a number of contradicting statements regarding the player’s future.

The Mirror are reporting that Klopp has made a decision not to send Ryan Kent out on loan because he is short of players right now.

The report states: “Jurgen Klopp has disappointed Steven Gerrard and Leeds by blocking another loan move for Ryan Kent.

“Gerrard was keen to re-sign Kent after he impressed on loan last season at Ibrox, scoring six goals in 43 appearances for Rangers.

“Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa also wanted to sign the left winger, who has made just one senior appearance for Liverpool in the FA Cup in 2016, for next season.

“But Klopp wants to hang on to Kent because he is missing his first-choice front three and the academy product will be involved in pre-season,”

This could be a serious blow for Steven Gerrard who had high hopes that Klopp would allow Ryan Kent to return back to Ibrox this summer.

And Football Insider had also reported that Kent has a verbal agreement with Gerrard that he would return back to Rangers given that Liverpool allow him to leave on loan for the 2019-20 season.

Other reports though claim that the Liverpool boss will eventually let Ryan Kent leave the club on loan but he will only sanction the exit once he gets back his regular forwards.

Right now the likes of Salah and Sadio Mane are absent from the pre-season tour which is why the German boss has chosen not to send off Ryan Kent.

So there’s firm belief that once the Salahs and Manes return back then Kent will be packing his bags for Scotland.
