How is the Arsenal manager helping ‘this’ first team regular become a better player?

Unai Emery has worked wonders with Arsenal ever since he took charge of the club during the summer.

The main aim for him this season was to get Arsenal back into Champions League football which should be achieved easily – if something dramatic does not unfold.

And on top of that, the Gunners are finally back to playing some eye-catching football.

Left-back Sead Kolasinac has revealed how Unai Emery has helped him become a better player this season by showing his hours and hours of video analysis.

“He’s helped me a lot,” the Bosnian said.

“We do a lot of tactical work as a unit and also individually.

“That helps you a lot and what has helped me is that he is a manager who speaks to you often, telling you what he wants from you — and what he doesn’t want.

“Sometimes after a game, you’ll feel you’ve played well when you come to training the next day and he’ll prepare a video showing what you did well but also the areas where you can improve, which you may not notice yourself because of how quickly things happen on the pitch during a match.

“On the video, he’ll point out to you what you need to improve and how you can deal with situations better.

“That helps you reduce mistakes, not just in my position, but all over the pitch.

“In training, you’ll work on what’s not gone so well and that helps stop those problems in the future. That preparation is mirrored by what you produce on the pitch.”
