Zinedine Zidane to replace Hansi Flick as the next Germany manager

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has had real problems with his team’s left-back area this season and he might be looking at Sergio Reguilon as a possible solution.

Kieran Tierney was supposed to be the first-choice left-back for the Gunners this season but the Scottish international has really struggled with injuries and it’s been Bukayo Saka who has had to slot into that role.

And with Tierney nowhere close to his peak form yet, the manager is reportedly keen on adding Sergio Reguilon to his ranks from Real Madrid in the summer.

Reguilon is without a doubt one of the best young full-backs in world football right now but Mikel Arteta is trying to land a player who is already wanted by a series of top European clubs like PSG and Dortmund.

Is Sergio Reguilon set to replace Tierney at Arsenal?

Sergio Reguilon is currently out on loan to Sevilla and the Spanish side are one of the sides who are interested in signing him for the upcoming season.

But as things stand, Real Madrid are yet to make a final call regarding the future of the 23-year-old meaning Arsenal do have a glimmer of hope in making a move for the left-back.

Reguilon will be the perfect addition to the defensive line at the Emirates but if Arsenal are really serious about signing him then they will have to go all out.

Firstly they will have to convince the player to snub teams like PSG, Dortmund and Spurs in order to join them instead. And secondly, the player still has three years left on his current deal at Madrid meaning Zidane could quote a really high price for their academy lad.

This season the left-back has made four assists in 22 La Liga games for Sevilla FC and if Arteta can sell off Keiran Tierney to Leciester then he can very well use that money to fund the move of Sergio Reguilon.

But right now all the clubs are waiting to see what decision Zinedine Zidane makes about the future of the defender.
