Arsenal manager Unai Emery has earmarked Mesut Ozil and Shkodran Mustafi as the two players who should be sold off during the summer in order to gather funds.

While Mesut Ozil has been tipped to leave the Emirates for a couple of months now, but the name of Shkodran Mustafi seems to have been added on the transfer list pretty recently.

Emery had lost faith on Ozil pretty early on during the season as the German played on 24 Premier League games this time around and most of them came off the bench during the dying minutes of matches.

But Mustafi appeared in 31 league games and as per TransferMarkt, he started 82 per cent of them so there is no big need to sell him off.

Having said that though, it is no secret that Unai Emery is working on a shoestring budget and he will have to sell off a number of his players in order to gather funds.

And it looks like Ozil and Shkodran Mustafi are set to face the brunt very soon.

Emery can surely raise a lot of money by selling these two players but as per reports no club really wants to sign them right now.

Mesut Ozil has been linked with a number of top European clubs during the past couple of months but Arsenal are struggling to close down the transfer because of the hefty wages of the German.

Right now, the playmaker is the highest earning Gunner and he will most certainly have to take a massive pay cut in order for interested clubs to make any kind of serious approach.

Shkodran Mustafi has been linked to Inter Milan during the past but many claim these are just rumours and the Serie A side have no significant interest in the defender.

So if Inter are left out of this equation there are no major clubs which have been linked with the centre-back.

Emery wants to bring in Dayot Upamenco from RB Leipzig but the Gunners can only pull off this transfer once they are certain that Shkodran Mustafi has found a new home.
