Manchester United beat Leicester City 1-0 in the Premier League meaning Solskjaer is yet to lose a league game ever since he took charge of the club.

This win though was not one of the more flamboyant ones that we have seen under the Norwegian.

Instead, it was a more hard-fought one much like the one against Tottenham Hotspur.

Unlike the Lilywhites though, Leicester City did not have so many shots on goal but Claude Puel’s men did control most of the second-half meaning United had to sit back and defend.

Thankfully, like the 1-0 win vs Spurs, Man United were able to get a lead thanks to Marcus Rashford.

United went up very early in the game after Paul Pogba managed to find the England international with a delightful pass and Marcus Rashford buried it into the back of the net – comfortably beating Schmeichel.

Talking after the match, Solskjaer was clearly impressed with his team’s hard-fought win but the manager did also mention that he had given Marcus Rashford a piece of advice before the match which the youngster chose to ignore while scoring the goal.

Solskjaer said:

“We know we can play better, but you can’t play fantasy football every time and today we could have controlled the game more but when we didn’t we fought for the next ball.

“We fought for our mates next to us, we put our heads on the line, we put our bodies on the line and it was a great defensive performance from inside the box I have to say.

“As Paul and Marcus get to know each other’s games, they know each other’s strengths and with the quality, they’ve got you expect that quality and it was a beautiful, beautiful pass and a great finish.

“But then again I told him to put it through Schmeichel’s legs because he opens up!

“But it was a great finish so I can’t complain, can I?”
