Manchester United suffered yet another defeat in the Premier League this time losing to Burnley at home and right now Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is one nervous manager.

The Norwegian might have been a crowd favourite when he was playing for Man United but right now he is certainly one step away from rubbing the fans in the wrong way.

The loss to the Clarets means, the OT outfit have now suffered their eight loss of the 2019-20 league season and they are still six points off the top-four spot with the likes of Spurs and Sheffield United closing up at a rapid pace.

But according to Paul Scholes, Ole Solskjaer could actually benefit from this loss since this might finally wake the management from the hierarchy and force them to make a couple of signings.

“Too often this season Manchester United have had two good results and then had two or three bad results,” Scholes told Premier League Productions as quoted by Football365.

“That performance tonight might do him [Solskjaer] a favour in the transfer market. It might spur the club on to spend that few extra million on the players they’re looking at like Bruno Fernandes.

“It might get done tomorrow because of this. He needs more bodies in the building. He’s got some big injuries so he needs help.

“The club need to help him now. I fear for the next few weeks because the injured players aren’t coming back for a while. He’s stuck with these players for now unless they sign anyone.”

VERDICT:

It seems like Man United have been trying to sign Bruno Fernandes since ages now but still they are nowhere close to bringing him on board.

And to make things even worse, they will also need to find a short-term replacement to Marcus Rashford who has been ruled out for the next couple of months with an injury.

The club have failed to replace Romelu Lukaku who left for Inter during the summer and right now Solskjaer is in desperate need of reinforcements especially in the attacking departments or else Manchester United will be playing in the Europa League once again next season.
