Man United beat Leicester City 1-0 in the Premier League this weekend meaning Solskjaer’s men are now just two points away from that top-four spot.

The Red Devils scored the only goal of the game through Marcus Rashford in the 9th minute of the match and in the second half, Solskjaer set up his team to preserve that lead.

The whole team worked together brilliantly during the second 45 minutes in order to preserve that slender lead and in the end, Ole Gunnar Solskajer was a happy man.

But once the final whistle was blown, the Norwegian took everyone by surprise when he arrived too early for the post-match press conference.

The arrival was alarmingly hasty which left many reporters a bit baffled.

But Solskjaer had every reason to pick up the pace.

Well, for those of you who did not know, the Man United boss had a pretty tight schedule once the Leicester City game was wrapped up.

Solskjaer and Mike Phelan actually took a private plane and flew down to France in order to watch PSG in action against Lyon.

Lyon were hosting PSG at home at the footage from the game proved that the interim boss was in attendance.

PSG ended up losing the match though and this was a perfect learning curve for Solskajer since Lyon might just have paved the way by showing exactly how the overcome the Parisian giants.

Thomas Tuchel’s side lost 2-1 and this was the first defeat that the Ligue 1 leaders have suffered this season.

PSG were without the likes of Neymar and Marco Verratti and both these players will also likely miss the Champions League clash vs Man United.

Many reports claim that the Champions League encounter will be the acid test for Solskjaer and if the disciple of Sir Alex Ferguson can actually beat PSG over two legs then he surely will be the frontrunner for the role of the next permanent manager at Old Trafford.
