It looks like the honeymoon period is well and truly over for Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

After going through a superb period under the caretaker boss, it looks like finally the form for Man United is starting to dip and this weekend they were knocked out of the FA Cup by Wolves.

Just a week ago, Man United suffered their first league defeat since Solskjaer took charge of the club at the hands of Arsenal and the very next weekend, the Red Devils have crashed out of the FA Cup.

Man United looked lethargic during the whole game and there were times when it felt that not Solskjaer but Jose Mourinho was in charge of this team.

The players showed absolutely no imagination going up forward and Wolves managed to thump two gaols in the second half which were more than enough to knock Solskjaer and his men out of the FA Cup.

United did score one goal in injury time but it did nothing to help their cause. And despite the loss, Solskjaer seems to be pretty content with the perform of Sergio Romero infront of goal.

“Sergio made some fantastic saves – he’s played really well again. But that’s disappointing because they had the better of the chances.” Solskjaer told ManUtd.com.

“They deserved the win. Sergio kept us in the game with a fantastic performance from him again but we never put their keeper under pressure.”

Romero has been the cup goalkeeper for Man United this season and just like Jose Mourinho, Solskjaer too has followed this trend.

And in all fairness, Sergio Romero was one of the few United players who actually had a decent enough game vs Wolves.

The Argentine did make two great saves during the match but having said that, we are pretty confident that had De Gea been in goal, he would have saved atleast the second goal that Wolves scored.
