Tottenham Hotspur are perhaps the biggest chokers in European football.

This statement is true, no matter how much you try to argue against it.

Mauricio Pohcettino’s side plays one of the most impressive brands of football in the whole of Europe but unfortunately, they do not have any silverware to show for it.

Spurs are famous for choking during the crunch situations and many believe the same will happen this weekend when they visit the Emirates to take on Arsenal.

A win for Arsenal in this game would mean the Gunners will overtake Spurs on the league table based on goal difference and if Chelsea manage to win their game against Fulham then Pochettinho’s men might very well end the week outside of the top four.

But the Spurs boss has made it clear that his team are very much prepared and there is absolutely no chance of a catastrophe on Sunday.

Pochettino said: “I think the mentality so far is so good.

“I think now it is about delivering the job. We have the belief which is most important in football.

“The belief and faith that you can beat any team away from home or at home and I think today the squad have that belief and that is most important.

“Then the performance can be good or not so good. Then you have some luck or not in different games, but with the right mentality, all is possible.

“It’s special, a special game. Always it’s tough to play this kind of game because it means more than other games. We know very well what this game means for our fans.

“Of course the players feel that. The players are aware of what the game means.

“We have a lot of players who through the academy arrive in the first team. They know very well what it means to play Arsenal.”
