After a poor start to the 21/22 season, Spurs have somewhat managed to steady the ship by climbing to the sixth spot on the table. But that progress was once again halted as they suffered a 1-0 loss to West Ham United last week.

Nuno will not have things easy this weekend either as Spurs welcome Manchester United at home on Saturday.

The Lilywhites are one point better off than Man United but they have lost three out of their previous five league matches. A defeat of Saturday could once again push them to the bottom half of the table.

Thankfully, Man United are in a major crisis themselves so this could be the perfect game for Nuno to bring some stability into his starting line up. Spurs go into this game at the back of a 1-0 win over Burnley in the Carabao Cup while United’s last game was a 5-0 loss to Liverpool.

Nuno is still under pressure when it comes to his job and this match could be a blessing in disguise for him. A strong performance and win vs a team like Man United can really strengthen the board’s belief in the Portuguese manager.

Spurs team news and injury updates vs Man United:

Nuno majorly reshuffled his squad in midweek, resting some of his regular starters so they will be fresh and properly rested for Saturday’s game.

Another major advantage for the Spurs boss is that he has a fully fit squad to choose from with Ryan Sessegnon being the only injury absentee.

Bryan Gill picked up an injury in midweek but he’s not too important to the manager’s plans anyway.

Romero and Eric Dier will come back into the side with Emerson Royal and Reguilon operating as the two full-backs. Nuno used Ben Davies on the left-hand side in midweek so he will move to the bench while Matt Doherty is also not expected to get game time on Saturday.

The Spurs boss is trying really hard to find a stable midfield trio and since Man United are really poor in confidence he will take the gamble of naming the same players who played against West Ham United.

Dele Alli has fallen down the pecking order once again and it’s almost certain now that he won’t be able to turn around his Spurs career anymore.

Lo Celso will be pushing for a start but Ndombele is going to hold onto his place as the attacking midfielder.

Bergwijn started against Burnley but he will make way for Son while Lucas Moura will also come back into the side, playing as the right-winger. Harry Kane did not get a goal in midweek either but the England international will start against Man United.

Spurs predicted line up vs Man United:

Predicted Starting Line up(4-2-3-1): Lloris; Reguilon, Romero, Eric Dier, Emerson; Hojbjerg, Skipp; Ndombele, Son, Lucas Moura; Harry Kane.
