After two weeks of rest, Man United return to Premier League on Saturday when they face Watford, away from home. The Watford vs Man United game is likely to be the acid test for Ole, but then we have been saying this same thing for the past three weeks now.
The Red Devils have seen a massive dip in form and in recent weeks they have suffered humiliation at the hands of Liverpool and Manchester City. But still, somehow Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a job.
United might be undefeated in 30 of their previous 21 away matches but their confidence is at an all-time low so it will not be a major surprise if the Hornets manage to pick up something from this game. Man United are almost out of the Premier League title race and if they cannot pick up all three points on Saturday then there’s a massive chance that we are going to see a new manager when the players regather for matchweek 13.
Watford, on the other hand, are sitting just two points above the relegation zone meaning anything other than a win is likely to push them into the bottom three.
