Rangers FC have managed to bring in as many as 11 new players since the time Steven Gerrard was appointed as the manager.

And with new signings coming in, players like Eduardo Herrera, Declan John and Josh Windass have all headed for the exit doors at Ibrox.

But as things stand one player’s future has been left in limbo after he failed to secure a move out of Ibrox before Thursday.

The player we are talking about is goalkeeper Wes Foderingham who could not find a new club before the English transfer window shut down on Thursday which means that the 27-year-old is now the third choice keeper at Ibrox.

Foderingham joined Rangers from Swindon Town back in 2015 and last season the shot-stopper played 33 games in the Scottish Premiership.

But Allan McGregor’s return to Ibrox this summer means that the former Hull City man will be the No 1 under Steven Gerrard in the new season followed by Jak Alnwick.

This means that Foderingham is the third choice keeper for the Light Blues and he is not expected to receive any considerable amount of game time unless both the keepers ahead of him are injured.

On Thursday there were reports that Blackburn Rovers were interested in signing Wes Foderingham before deadline day but the deal somehow did not materialize and now the Englishman seems to be stuck at Glasgow.

No English club will be able to bring in new players after Thursday meaning that for the next five months, Wes Foderingham will have to warm the benches at Ibrox before he tries his luck at moving out during the January transfer window.
