West Ham United have already signed eight players under new manager Manuel Pellegrini and their ninth signing might be in the form of defender Harold Moukoudi.

But recent reports from Portugal are suggesting that the London outfit might get their hands on a new forward before the transfer window closes next week.

Portuguese outlet O Jogo are reporting that Porto forward Moussa Marega has started a revolt of sorts at the club and wants to join West Ham after the Premier League club placed a bid for him.

The report suggests that Marega has fallen out with his manager Sérgio Conceição who failed to keep his promise of letting the forward move out of the club this summer.

And when the Hammers placed a bid for the forward last week, Moussa Marega has urged his manager to let go of him and in a sign of protest he has stopped coming to training and will not play the final of the Super Cup.

Moussa Marega’s agent Aziz Ben Aissa has revealed that even though the forward respects Porto, he clearly wants to join West Ham United in the coming few days.

Aziz said: “Marega isn’t cheating. It’s normal for you to be upset because you have been promised things that are not being fulfilled.

“He knows there’s a clause and he has two more years of contract. FC Porto are right at this level, but we ask that they be sensitive to the will of a player who was crucial to the title.

“No one is making war or wanting to harm FC Porto because Marega likes the club and it’s thanks to FC Porto that he’s desired by several clubs. But we wanted them to keep the promise and open the negotiations because his head is in England.”

Some reports suggest that it is Moussa Marega who has started the revolt at the club while others claim that it is the manager who has banned him from the training grounds.

It’s pretty hard to understand which source is right but the bottom line is that Moussa Marega is doing all the hard work in order to join West Ham United and the London club can sit back and relax.
