West Ham United appointed Manuel Pellegrini as their new boss during the summer and the Chilean made his presence felt at the club by bringing in a host of new players.

And after this revamp everyone was certain that the London outfit will be a fresh and new team going into the new Premier League season.

But four games off, and the Hammers are yet to pick up a point meaning they are now at the last spot of the league table – getting all ready for a relegation battle.

After this poor start, the manager, as well as the club, have come under heavy criticism from the fans and most of them are asking why had the club spent more than a £100 million in the transfer market when they are as poor as the previous season.

And amongst all this chatter, the club have revealed that they have made another investment of £10 million.

But thankfully this time the London outfit seems to have invested in the right place spending the money on the betterment of the training facilities at the Rush Green as well as at Chadwell Health.

The official statement read: “West Ham United are pleased to confirm to supporters that the Club have spent almost £10 million on training facilities in the last two years and that investment is set to continue.

“The Club recently invested £5 million on major renovations upgrading facilities at Rush Green for our men’s first team and over £4 million is currently being spent to ensure our Academy players at Chadwell Heath also continue to enjoy the cutting edge facilities of a Category 1 Academy.

“This investment ensures we have some of the best facilities in the country.”

West Ham United take on Everton when they return from the international break after which they welcome Chelsea at home for the London Derby.
