West Ham United are in great form this season and their latest achievement under David Moyes is picking up a win against Liverpool in the Premier League.

The Hammers have been playing some incredible football so a lot of pundits had predicted this to be an intense affair. Moyes’ side though not only took the fight to Liverpool but also managed to dominate Klopp’s star-studded side for a large portion of the 90 minutes.

West Ham United won the match 3-2 meaning they go into the international break as the third-placed side on the league table, one point better off Liverpool and level on points with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

David Moyes has really worked wonders with this side and after Sunday’s performance, the fans can truly dream of Champions League football next season.

West Ham United player ratings:

Fabianski: 5.5/10

The keeper made three saves during the match but his distribution was not up the mark as he managed to make only 12 accurate passes.

Ogbonna: 5/10

The defender had very little to do as he has to be taken off in the 22nd minute with what looked like a knee injury. The 33-year-old was replaced by Craig Dawson.

Zouma: 8.5/10

The summer signing scored the third goal for West Ham United which effectively sealed all three points for the home side. At the back too he was exceptional, winning two duels and making seven clearances.

Johnson: 7.6/10

The youngster is fast turning out to be a top right-back in the Premier League and his performance against Liverpool was another feather in his cap. The 21-year-old made two successful dribbles and at the back, he made three interceptions and six recoveries.

Cresswell: 7.2/10

The left-back did pretty well to keep Mo Salah quiet, winning three duels and making as many as seven recoveries.

Declan Rice: 7.5/10

The England international is the engine room in the West Ham United first XI and him along with Soucek made sure that the likes of Oxlade-Chamberlain and Henderson did not manage to have time on the ball.

Soucek: 6.9/10

After picking up a yellow card in the 45th minute, the midfielder could not be too bold but he did manage to provide proper support to his midfield partner throughout the match.

Bowen: 8.5/10

The winger was exceptional for the Hammers on Sunday, chipping in with two assists. He had only 34 touches of the ball but whenever he had the ball, he made sure that he conjured something up.

Fornals: 8.8/10

Fornals was another star player for West Ham United as he netted the second goal for David Moyes’ side. He had only one shot on target and that found the back of the net.

Benrahma: 7.5/10

The 26-year-old had a passing accuracy of 85% and he managed to make 16 accurate passes in the opposition half. He also contributed defensively, doubling up with Cresswell to check the runs of Alexander-Arnold.

Michail Antonio: 7/10

Usually, it’s Antonio who gets the goal for West Ham United but this time around the forward played as the perfect team player, helping out in defence and also trying to hold the ball in the forward areas.

West Ham United substitutes:

Craig Dawson: 7.9/10

When Dawson came on for Ogbonna there were a few nerves amongst the fans but the 31-year-old came up with a stellar performance keeping Salah, Mane and Jota at bay.
