West Ham United are reportedly in the market looking for a new striker and it looks like Pellegrini has his eyes set on Edin Dzeko.

Edin Dzeko won a couple of titles with Manchester City during his four-year stay at the club but the Bosnian was never quite the number of striker for the Citizens thanks to a certain Sergio Aguero.

In 2016, the now 33-year-old moved to AS Roma and since then he has been a key figure for the Serie A outfit.

And now if reports are to be believed then Manuel Pellegrini is trying to lure him back to the Premier League during the summer transfer window.

Right now, the Hammers have three strikers at their disposal but the manager cannot rely on them for a long time.

Arnautovic could very well move out of the club at the end of the season since he was so close to leaving at the start of the new year and Andy Carroll has been way off form during the current season.

Well, that only leaves Javier Hernandez and hence Pellegrini wants to bring in Edin Dzeko.

During the 2018-19, Edin Dzeko has played in 23 games in the Serie A scoring seven goals and making four assists.

It is still unclear whether the Bosnian would want to return back to the Premier League that too at such a later stage of his career but the Hammers feel they can get him for cheap.

Edin Dzeko is out of contract at Roma in 2020 and right now there are no real talks of a new deal which means AS Roma can let him leave for rather cheap in case West Ham push hard.

It still remains to be seen whether the interest in Edin Dzeko is real and we believe everything will depend on whether Marko Arnautovic chooses to leave the club at the end of the season.
