Jose Mourinho Spurs Premier League

Manchester United parted ways with Jose Mourinho in December of 2018 and since then the Portuguese has been without work.

There have been a number of rumours about Jose Mourinho returning back to management during the past couple of weeks, with the likes of Real Madrid and Chelsea being linked with him.

While Real have already named Zinedine Zidane as their new boss but Jose Mourinho is continued to be linked with Chelsea especially with such uncertainty over Maurizio Sarri’s job.

Many rumours have claimed that Roman Abramovich wants to bring back Jose Mourinho to Stamford Bridge for a third stint but it looks like that is not going to happen.

Fresh reports are claiming that the Portuguese would be heading to the Ligue 1 during the summer and his destination would either be Lyon or Monaco.

Mourinho recently claimed that he expects to take up a new job in June so that he can prepare his players during the summer and the manager has previously shown his love for the French league.

Lyon or Monaco have been named the two possible destinations but it looks like Lyon are the favourites to land Jose Mourinho.

The first and the obvious reason is that Lyon currently sit third on the league table while Monaco have had a rather poor season and right now they sit 16 on the Ligue 1 table with just 30 points.

But another big reason why the former Man United boss might not join Monaco is because the current Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim and Jose Mourinho share the same agent, Jorge Mendes.

Most people expected Jose Mourinho to take charge of a European powerhouse but it looks like after two failures – first with Chelsea and then with Man United, the Portuguese wants to stay away from the media glare for some time and built his empire.
