Liverpool picked up an important vs Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield on Sunday which helped the Reds get back to the top of the table.

Toby Alderweireld scored a late own-goal which helped the Merseyside outfit pick up the three points.

Mo Salah might have had a rather poor game on Sunday but the Egyptian played a key role during Liverpool’s second goal.

Mo Salah initially headed the ball back across which Lloris failed to hold on to and eventually Alderweireld helped it put into the back of the net.

And speaking after the match, Mo Salah has revealed what Jurgen Klopp told him after the match.

“I went to the dressing room and I spoke to the manager,” Salah told Sky Sports(as reported).

“He said that it isn’t about playing good but the most important thing is to find a way of winning points.

“The big teams always find a way to get the points.

“Today we didn’t play the top of our game but we won the game that is the most important thing – that is a big team.”

All throughout the season, Liverpool have played great football in order to stay in the title race.

But now it looks like Klopp has made it pretty clear to Mo Salah and co that picking up three points is the ultimate goal for the rest of the games this campaign.
