Alfredo Morelos picked up a red card for elbowing Celtic’s Scott Brown and somehow winger Ryan Kent escaped a sending off after punching the same player in the second half.

But sadly for Gerrard, both these players could be missing the next couple of games.

Well, for Morelos, the striker has already been given a four-match ban.

This means he will miss the next two fixures vs Hearts and Motherwell while the next two fixtures will come into the light once the SPFL confirm the post-split schedule.

As per the Herald, ‘Morelos has been hit with a two-match ban for violent conduct and an additional suspension of one match for each previous sending off is applied and is effective 14 days from the match.’

This though should not be a big issue for Gerrard given the manager has Jermain Defoe at his disposal who is surely going to start up front for the next four games.

But the major issue might be with Ryan Kent since the youngster has been a key spark for Rangers going in attack.

Ryan Kent is on a season-long loan from Liverpool and he is one of the few loanees who has seen success at Ibrox this season.

Up until now, the 22-year-old has played in 38 games for the Gers scoring six goals and making nine assists and already there are reports that Gerrard wants to bring back the player for one more season.

Ryan Kent punched Scott Brown right across the face after the Bhoys had scored the winner but that incident was not noticed by the match officials on the pitch.

That though does not save the loanee since he could still receive a ban for violent conduct.

Ryan Kent will get to know the verdict when the SPFL take a final call on Tuesday.
