Rangers FC currently have five players on loan at the club and most of them are expected to return back to their clubs at the end of the season.

Out of the five players, only Jermain Defoe is eligible to stay for the next season while the likes of Ryan Kent, Lassana Coulibaly, Steven Davis and Joe Worrall all need to wrap up before the summer.

There have been multiple rumours discussing the future of these loanees and whether the Gers would actually offer them a permanent contract.

And now fresh reports are suggesting that out of the five players, Joe Worrall, Steven Davis and Lassana Coulibaly will not be returning back for the next season.

Worrall is not the first choice defender for Steven Gerrard and the centre-back will return back to Nottingham Forest and the end of the season.

Lassana Coulibaly will also return back to his parent club as the midfielder has hardly made any sort of impact after making a series of starts during the first few weeks of the season.

Steven Davis joined Rangers FC from Southampton during the January transfer window in order to see more game time but the player has so far featured in only six Premiership games.

At the start of the season, Steven Gerrard brought in a series of loanees but it is safe to say that almost all of them have fallen flat maybe with the exception of Ryan Kent.

So now it looks like, the Rangers FC manager has chosen to clear up the locker room and he is expected to bring in a fresh bunch of talent during the summer transfer window.
