Nicolas Pepe to replace Aubameyang Arsenal EPL
Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan Arsenal news

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been tipped to move out of Arsenal in the summer and both Barcelona and Real Madrid have been heavily linked with him.

The forward has just move than a year left on his current deal at the club and as things stand, he is not likely to sign a new deal at the club meaning Arteta has no other option but to sanction a sale.

Premier League clubs like Manchester United and Liverpool have also been linked with the Gabon international but with each passing day, it’s becoming more evident that Arsenal are planning to send him away from England.

And for some time it had been believed that Barcelona is likely to be his next destination but now two major reasons have popped up as to why Aubmeyang should snub the Catalans and join Real Madrid.

Why Aubmeyang should join Real Madrid:

The first big reason has been laid down by Xavi who claims players like Aubameyang and Sadio Mane will struggle to live up to the hype at Camp Nou since Barcelona need players who can work in tight spaces.

“Mane and Aubemayang can kill you in open space. But Barcelona need players who know how to move in small spaces,” Xavi said, as per the Express.

“I am thinking about a player who would adapt to Barcelona and it’s not easy to find one. Samuel Eto’o was perfect as is Luis Suarez right now.”

The second reason is the fact that Aubameyang has a dream of playing for Real Madrid and according to Lukas Podolski, the forward should go ahead and fulfil that.

Podolski told Sky Sports: “When you have a fantastic season like he had, many clubs are interested. When a player has a wish to play for a big team or a dream to play in Italy or Spain, or like Aubameyang and his link with Real Madrid…

“If he has a dream to play for this club when he’s young, then why not? As a player, you have to take this chance to play for a club like that. Of course for Arsenal, it’ll be a big loss if they have to sell him but this is the business of football.

“My opinion is you lose a big player, he had a fantastic season with a good scoring record, but you can make money on a player, sell him and you can invest in new players. For a player like me or Aubameyang, when a big club is calling, you always want to have this dream.”

Bad news for Manchester United?

If Aubameyang is really being sold off to one of the La Liga giants then it’s really bad news for Manchester United who have been wanting to sign the forward for some time now.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is eager to add one more striker to this squad before the 2020-21 season begins and Aubameyang would have been a perfect fit at OT.

But thankfully, it’s not the end of the road for Manchester United since the club have also been chasing other big names like Harry Kane.
