Arsenal brought in Dani Ceballos on a loan spell from Real Madrid and the 24-year-old has been quite impressive during the past couple of months.

Initially, he needed time to adjust to life in the Premier League but since the resumption, he has been a mainstay in midfield which is why everyone is certain that Mikel Arteta will make his loan deal permanent this summer.

But now as per Express(quoting The Athletic), the Arsenal manager wants to hold onto Dani Ceballos on another loan deal because he’ll be working on a tight budget.

The report claims: “Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta wants to complete a loan deal for Dani Ceballos in order to keep funds free to sign Thomas Partey in a big-money move.

“Arsenal are in talks with Real Madrid over securing Ceballos for another year on loan.

“The Athletic claim with funds tight in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, Arsenal would prefer to loan Ceballos from Real Madrid.”

Dani Ceballos has featured in 24 Premier League matches during the 2019-20 season and over the past couple of weeks, he had formed a formidable partnership with Granit Xhaka.

But if this report is true then Mikel Arteta is surely prioritising a move for Thomas Partey rather than a permanent deal for Ceballos.

This though should not be a major headache for the loanee since Arsenal are planning to sell off players like Ozil, Guendouzi and also Lucas Torreira meaning the Real Madrid man will get ample amount of playing time next season as well.

Dani Ceballos has hinted that he would love to stay in England and if he can get assurances of regular starts, we don’t see him refusing another loan agreement with Arsenal.
