Manchester City moved back to the top of the Premier League table after beating Burnley 1-0 on Sunday.

Burnley had recently held Chelsea to a 2-2 draw and all the Liverpool fans were hoping that the Turf Moor outfit would do them some favours in the Premier League title race.

Unfortunately, though, Pep Guardiola’s men dug deep and a single strike from Sergio Aguero was enough to help them secure all the three points.

And speaking after the match, former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger claimed that he is worried about Liverpool’s title challenge.

Wenger said: ‘There’s still hope but they go to Newcastle. Newcastle is not an easy place for Liverpool.

I’m scared for Liverpool even with one game to go that Manchester City will already have won it but they will fight until the end.

‘It looks like there’s a destiny that is against Liverpool.

They dominated for such a long period in English football and suddenly from 89-90 until today, they cannot win the Premier League. Every time there is small things against them.’

All hope is not yet lost for Liverpool since Man City still have to take on Leicester City who have just beaten Arsenal this weekend.

But the one major problem for Jurgen Klopp right now is the fact that he also has to focus on Liverpool’s Champions League clash vs Barcelona whereas Man City do not have any European commitments.

If the first leg of the UCL semi-finals does not go Liverpool’s way then the German boss could very well take a bold step and make a few changes to his starting XI vs the Magpies next weekend.
