Arsenal look a revived side under their new manager Mikel Arteta and many pundits believe that the Gunners still have an outside chance of finishing in the top four of the Premier League table.

So far Mikel Arteta has managed 9 Premier League games since taking charge of the Emirates outfit back on 22nd December of last year and up until now, he has tasted only one defeat.

While the Gunners have played too many draws during this time but the manager has never been shy of giving youngsters a chance in his first-team.

And one such youngster, Eddie Nketiah put his name on the scoresheet as Arsenal beat Everton in the Premier League on Sunday.

The North London side went behind in the very first minute of the match but it was Nketiah was put them back on level terms courtesy of a fine cross from another youngster – Bukayo Saka.

And speaking after the game, the forward has revealed how Mikel Arteta does not shy away from using youngsters in his first-team line-ups, even during high-profile matches.

The youngster said, as per the club’s official website: “It was a very entertaining game.

“We didn’t want it as open as it was but I think we obviously did well to defend and were very resilient. It was interesting for the fans to watch and we’re just happy that we ground out the three points and it’s another win and a step in the right direction.

“It’s just about taking each game as it comes. The team want to continue to win and continue to improve. That’s the most important thing.

“We’ll see where we have come to at the end of the season.

“He’s great, he’s given us a lot of opportunities and he’s showed us that if you work hard in training, it doesn’t matter how old you are, he’ll give you the chance if he thinks you deserve it.

“It’s great for a young player to know that the manager is confident in us and has belief in us and it’s just about working hard each day and improving with each game and that’s what we’re doing.”
