After the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona, PSG are the latest club to show interest in Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, as per Le10Sport.

The report claims: “In search of a centre forward for the summer transfer window, PSG remains alert on the Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang track, which has only one year of contract at Arsenal.

“Within the staff of Paris Saint-Germain, the recruitment of a striker centre forward is one of the big files opened for the transfer window. If the club has a purchase option for Mauro Icardi until May 31, it has still not been exercised.”

PSG currently value the forward at around €40-50 million which is clearly not the price Arsenal want in exchange for their most prized asset. But given that he’s only gotten a year left on his deal, the Premier League side might be forced to sell him off.

Why PSG can land Aubameyang in the summer:

While Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester United also hold substantial interest in Aubameyang but PSG could very well get their hands on the forward in the summer.

According to Ian Wright, the Gabon international will want to move out of the Emirates primarily to win trophies and he’s got the best shot at it in the Ligue 1.

“He’s somebody with the way he’s scored goals in his career, he probably wants something to show for it… I know he’s won stuff in Germany,” Wright told Sporf, as reported by Standard.

“But if he did [leave]… if he was somebody that was tempted away, I’m not sure that people could really fault him at this stage because you look at Arsenal and the current plight, you have to say we’re going through a transitional period, coming off of [Arsene] Wenger, coming off of Unai Emery and now getting the coach that I believe is going to take us to the promised land.

“It depends totally on whether Aubameyang has the patience to wait for this to kick in but if he didn’t I’m not sure at his age what people could say, he’s somebody that deserves to be playing at a level where he’s able to win things.

“Depending on his ambition, his people around him and what they’re saying to him, how much he loves the club – and I know he loves the club immensely – you have to pray that’s going to be enough for him to stay.

PSG have been picking up domestic trophies for fun and next year there’s a huge chance the club will be able to atleast reach the finals of the Champions League.

So if Aubameyang really wants trophies then PSG is undoubtedly the best destination amongst the lot. Also, the Parisian outfit will not hesitate to pay him a huge salary, something that he’s also been demanding at Arsenal.
