Liverpool misfit urged to join either of these two clubs: Will Klopp let him leave this summer?

Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been a real misfit at the club and according to club legend John Barnes, the England international should look for a new challenge.

The midfielder joined Liverpool from Arsenal in 2017 but over the past four years, he has failed to live up to the hype and last season, he only managed 13 Premier League appearances for Klopp’s side. Barnes believes Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain should be heading for greener pastures next season and either Leicester or West Ham United will be an ideal option for him.

Barnes told BettingOdds.com, as quoted: “I think [he should join] Leicester or West Ham.

“Leicester would probably be a bit better suited because they’re more stable than West Ham as they know that they will be in the top seven most seasons, which isn’t the case for West Ham.

“However, if he wanted to go back down south then I think West Ham would be a good move for Alex, too.”

Will Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain be allowed to leave Liverpool?

The 27-year-old was way down the pecking order this time at Liverpool but Jurgen Klopp has remained optimistic that things will change for him(plus a few other players) during the 2021-22 season.

The manager had recently said: “With always having a different defence, the midfield needed to be different to other times, when we were much more settled, much more stable. That’s the reason why some players don’t have enough minutes.

“That will hopefully change completely next season because if you have that stability in the last line, then you can be more flexible in the formation, further up the pitch.”

West Ham United are one club that have been linked with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the past few months but some reports had claimed that manager David Moyes is no longer eager to make a move for him this summer.

Leicester City, on the other hand, have Youri Tielemans who has been linked with a move to Liverpool and maybe Brendan Rodgers could try and work out a cash plus player deal between Tielemans and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Right now, the 27-year-old has no future at Liverpool so ideally, he should trying to move out and join a new side.
