Nicolas Pepe to replace Aubameyang Arsenal EPL
Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan Arsenal news

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the subject of a major transfer debate this summer at Arsenal but it feels like the Premier League side have no real intentions of holding onto him.

The forward has one year left on his current deal meaning Arsenal will lose him as a free agent next year if they do not offload him this summer. Or make him sign a new deal.

Some pundits have claimed that Mikel Arteta is confident he will be able to hold onto Aubameyang beyond the summer but if the player’s statement is any indication then the Gunners are taking a lot of time in making up their mind.

As per the Gabon international, the ball is still in Arsenal’s court but the Emirates outfit are yet to come up with an improved offer.

He told French outlet Telefoot, via Mirror: “I haven’t recently received a proposition but of course there have been discussions with the club.

“It’s them [the club] who have the keys and for them to do their work.

“Afterwards we will see what happens.”

Arsenal planning to sell off Aubameyang?

Aubameyang clearly wants a massive pay rise in his new deal which Arsenal are not ready to give him right now. But at the same time, they do not wish to lose him to a rival in the summer.

Arteta knows fully well that Auba is his most prized asset at the club but the way his management are handling the situation, it’s not explicit if they have a clear thought process or not.

If the North London club wish to hold onto the forward then they should be moving heaven and earth in trying to make him agree to the new deal. But instead, the club seem to be taking their own sweet time with this one.

Big European sides like Real Madrid and Liverpool are constantly keeping tabs with the situation so if Arsenal do not act swiftly and convincingly, Aubameyang will have no problems in finding a new club next season.
