Celtic FC have been keeping tabs on Tottenham Hotspur’s 19-year-old winger Jack Clarke – as per a report in the Football Insider.

The report claims: “Celtic are plotting a move to sign Tottenham attacker Jack Clarke this summer after losing out on landing him in January, Football Insider can reveal.

“A Celtic source has told Football Insider that the club are continuing to keep close tabs on Clarke as they weigh up a season-long loan.

“Celtic believe a move north of the border could ignite the career of the teenager, who made a huge impact when breaking into the Leeds side last season.”

Will Celtic FC be able to sign Jack Clarke?

Celtic FC failed to get their hands on Clarke in January but this time around, Neil Lennon is confident he will be able to bring the winger to Scotland.

Clarke moved to Spurs from Leeds United in the summer of 2019 but since then the player has been moving around on loan spells, first back to Elland Road and then to QPR for the second half of the 2019-20 season.

Both these spells have not helped the youngster in any positive approach meaning there’s no way Jose Mourinho will be looking to include him in Spurs’ first-team squad for the upcoming season.

This though is a great boost for the Bhoys since they can certainly use a player like Jack Clarke on the right-wing next season but what remains to be seen is if Spurs are ready to let the player move out of England in the summer.

We feel the Lilywhites will look to keep the 19-year-old as close to home as possible but if they do not find any English suitors for him, then surely Celtic FC will be the favourites to land the winger.
