Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira has failed to carve out his place in the starting line-up under Mikel Arteta and there are rumours that he could be heading out this summer.

A number of clubs(especially from the Serie A) have shown an interest in signing the midfielder but according to his agent, they are yet to receive any formal offers.

Pablo Bentacur said, as reported: “There are many requests (for Torreira), but there is still nothing official.

“I have received many queries but we have nothing official on the table.

“The player is training with Arsenal. The coach (Mikel Arteta) has to make a decision if he really needs Torreira or not, but all this press talks about is more publicity than reality.

“Today the market is a bit stuck, official offers, I repeat, there are none.”

Will Lucas Torreira join a new club this summer?

Mikel Arteta is surely going to offload Matteo Guendouzi this summer so we do not think the Arsenal boss will be actively looking to part ways with Lucas Torreira as well.

If a good enough offer comes by then surely the Gunners would want to cash in but until they bring in someone like Thomas Partey, Torreira is not going anywhere.

Also, Dani Ceballos is yet to return to the Emirates so that is another thing that Mikel Arteta will take into consideration before entertaining a formal bid for Lucas Torreira.

During the 2019-20 season, the South American featured in 29 Premier League games for the North London club but most of them came off the bench.
