Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo is currently out on loan to his boyhood club Estudiantes and he intends to stay there the whole year.

Rojo joined Manchester United from Sporting in 2014 but the player has not quite been able to cement his place in the first XI at the club in these six years.

And when Solskjaer finally brought in Harry Maguire last summer, the Argentinian was sent out on loan to Estudiantes during the January transfer window.

Unfortunately though, injuries have seriously hampered the defender’s time at his new club as he has managed to play in one league match before the coronavirus pandemic stopped all football.

Hence in order to make up for lost time, Marcos Rojo has admitted that he wishes to remain at his current club until the end of this year and will have a talk with the Man United management about the same.

Rojo told local radio programme Estudiantes Y Su Gente, via Daily Mail: ‘If it depends on me, I will speak to Manchester United’s management about the possibility of staying here for another six months.

‘I will feel a tremendous sense of pain if I have to leave after playing in so few matches.

‘I am completely recovered now, and fit to play once more.’

Will Ole let Marcos Rojo stay?

Unlike last season, Man United’s defensive line seems pretty sorted this year so we are pretty sure the manager will not look to call back Marcos Rojo at the end of this season.

The Red Devils have adequate backups for every defensive position and Ole will surely want Rojo to get some game time under his belt in Argentina.

So clearly Man United will not stand in the way of the defender’s dream and maybe even sanction a permanent transfer in the summer – if Estudiantes can afford it.
