Celtic FC manager might not look to bring in a replacement to Odsonne Edouard this summer because they already have a player like Patryk Klimala, as per the Football Insider.

Patryk Klimala joined the Bhoys at the start of the new year from Polish side Jagiellonia but he is yet to stamp his authority in the SPFL. But the Celtic coaching staff are confident the youngster will pass with flying colours next season.

The report claims: “Celtic coaches are expecting January signing Patryk Klimala to become a huge asset next season when he has a full pre-season under his belt.

“The centre-forward, 21, has made just one start and only four appearances since his £3.5million winter-window arrival.

“A Celtic source has told Football Insider that Neil Lennon and his staff are convinced Klimala can explode into life next season and be a regular matchwinner.

“The Hoops have returned to pre-season training at their Lennoxtown headquarters and have been mainly working on fitness drills. Klimala is set to be one of those to benefit from the programme devised by Lennon and his staff.”

Will Patryk Klimala replace Odsonne Edouard?

Odsonne Edouard is being linked with a move to Premier League side Arsenal and even though the Frenchman has expressed his desire of staying at Parkhead but if the Bhoys do get a good enough offer, they will let him leave in the summer.

And in the quest to find an apt replacement, Neil Lennon’s side have been linked with players like Lyndon Dykes, Lyle Taylor and most recently, Ivan Toney.

Now it looks like, the manager is keen to pin his hopes on 21-year-old Patryk Klimala partly cause they have invested a lot of money in him.

In Scotland, the centre-forward has not been in top form but during the first half of the season, he had managed to score seven goals in just 17 games in the Polish league.

We know this is nowhere close to the form of Edouard but we think Lennon will take this given he will be able to safe a lot of money in the transfer market by not having to sign a new player.
