It was revealed on Friday that FIFA are investigating Man City after the club are said to have breached regulations over the signing of minors.
Fifa are investigating Man City for the signing of eight players under the age of 18 from outside the United Kingdom.
And if the Citizens are found guilty then just like Chelsea, the reigning Champions could also be slapped with a transfer ban.
While these investigations are still in its initial stages but if we were to look at what happened to the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and now Chelsea, Man City could very well be walking down the same path.
UEFA and the Premier League are also carrying out separate investigations regarding the breaching of financial fair play rules and if Man City are found guilty they could also be banned from the Champions League.
And now speaking about the possible transfer embargo, Pep Guardiola has claimed that he has a good enough squad to ride out the storm.
“I cannot say anything,” the Man City boss said on Friday.
“I said what I said, I was clear in my opinion. The club made their statement so I don’t have any comments.
“I understand your job. I answered five or six or seven questions in the last press conference. I am not even the right guy to talk about that.Â
“What the club says, the process, they do it. They don’t call me and explain what they are doing. I’m concerned with my job. What will happen will happen.”
Recently some reports had claimed that Pep Guardiola could leave Man City in order to join Juventus but this rumour did not pick up any wind.
Now though things have clearly taken a turn for the worse and some people feel that there is every possibility that Pep Guardiola deserts Man City and moves to greener pastures – if the transfer embargo is enforced.
