Liverpool welcome Arsenal in the Premier League this weekend and winger Sadio Mane has been passed fit for this encounter.
Mane picked up a knock while playing for his national side during the break and immediately he was a doubt for Saturday’s game. And with Roberto Firmino also out injured this was a major headache for the manager.
Jurgen Klopp though has revealed that Sadio Mane’s injury was not serious and the Senegalese is perfectly fine.
The manager told the press, as per the club’s official website: “Sadio is fine – painful but fine. Everybody who had a rib bruise knows it’s an annoying thing. But Sad trained here with us now in all sessions.
“We took him out a little bit earlier here and there when we knew now it will be full contact, stuff like this, just to give it a bit more time to settle. But he looks fine.”

The fact that Sadio Mane is fully fit is a great relief for Jurgen Klopp since Liverpool are really thin in the attacking department and their league position is also a cause of concern.
If Firmino and Mane had both been missing then Divock Origi would have started and against this Arsenal side, this would not have been a great formation.
The Gunners are in peak form right now and at the same time, Liverpool’s defence has looked shaky despite Matip and Van Dijk’s return. So naturally, Liverpool have to heavily bank on their attackers to see them through and a player like Sadio Mane along with Salah are key to everything they do in the final third.
The 29-year-old has scored six goals in 11 Premier League matches this season and his Fotmob rating is 7.36 out of 10.
Mane’s fitness is the only positive news right now since Roberto Firmino, Joe Gomez, Naby Keita and James Milner are ruled out while Jordan Henderson along with Andy Robertson remain doubtful.
