Spurs travel to Anfield on Saturday and Antonio Conte has confirmed that wing-back Sergio Reguilon is going to miss this all-important tie.

The 25-year-old has been struggling with a calf injury in recent weeks and his manager has now admitted that he could be out for the remainder of the season.

Conte told Spurs TV, as quoted by the club’s official website: “Sergio is not available for this game, and I don’t know if he will be able to come back again, as there are only two weeks until the end of the season. We’ll see.

“Fingers crossed, there are only four games to go, and it will be important for us not to have big injuries as we try to finish this season in the best possible way.”

Will Sergio Reguilon be a big miss for the Liverpool vs Spurs game?

With Sergio Reguilon missing, Ryan Sessegnon will take up that left wing-back role and the youngster is not oozing confidence at the moment.

Sessegnon has had a very muted season and since he will be facing Mo Salah on the right flank, the 21-year-old could end up having a tough outing on Saturday.

The last time these two sides met in December, the manager chose Ryan Sessegnon ahead of Sergio Reguilon and it’s safe to say that things did not work out too well for Conte.

In that 2-2 draw, Sessegnon had a rating of just 6.2/10 with a passing accuracy of just 71%.

If Reguilon was fit, there’s no doubt Antonio Conte would have selected him but now the Italian has to adjust with Ryan Sessegnon and hope for the best.
