Tottenham Hotspur tried to sign Real Sociedad striker Willian Jose and there’s every chance the Lilywhites could try once again.
Arcuri, Jose’s agent, has claimed that during the January transfer window, a number of clubs, including Tottenham wanted the services of the player.
He said, via MEN: “So I tell everyone, just in this January market, he had, that’s official, alright Jorge? He had Barcelona, he had Tottenham, he had Manchester United, he had Newcastle.
“Then, just there, again, he speaks for himself.
“Tottenham. They got to offer between… they wanted to offer a player and an amount, so it was about €30m [£26m].”
Willian Jose has scored nine goals in 30 matches across all competition for Real Sociedad during the 2019-20 season and if he is still available at that exact transfer price then Jose Mourinho could try and sign him once again.
The player is by no means a clear first choice but Mourinho is looking to strengthen his squad meaning Jose will be the perfect backup to somehow Harry Kane.
Right now, Harry Kane is the only recognised centre-forward at Spurs which means Jose Mourinho is most certainly looking for a new striker.
We still aren’t sure if Tottenham Hotspur will try and make a move for Willian Jose in the summer but surely he’s worth a shot.
