Eden Hazard has already left Chelsea to join Real Madrid this summer and it looks like Barcelona are keen on signing Willian – as per reports.

Willian arrived at Chelsea in 2013 from Anzhi and during the past couple of seasons, the Brazilian was one of the top players in the Blues squad.

Last campaign, the winger did manage to make 14 assists but everyone would agree that he did not have the desired impact under Maurizio Sarri.

That though has done very little to fend off Barcelona as the Catalans have reportedly launched a bid to sign Willian this summer.

Last season, Willian played on the right wing in tandem with Pedro which led to many believe that Chelsea will not hesitate to part ways with him but clearly that is not the case.

Reports suggest that the London outfit have rejected a £35 million bid from Barcelona as they feel that Willian could be a key part of the team next season.

The winger has 12 months left on his current deal but Chelsea are confident that they can agree on terms of a new deal despite initial roadblocks in the negotiations.

With a new manager coming in, Willian could be handed a new lease of life at Stamford Bridge but the Blues’ rejection of Barcelona’s bid has come as a shock for a number of people.

The Brazilian will soon turn 31 and Chelsea seldom offer lengthy contracts to players who have crossed the age of 30.

So wouldn’t it be wise to let him leave for Barcelona and use that money to bring in reinforcements?

But having said that though, Chelsea are probably not willing to part ways with Willian this summer because of their impending transfer ban.
