Arsenal are set to sell off a number of their current forwards during the summer transfer window and one of them could be Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The Armenian arrived at the Emirates last year in a swap deal from Manchester United and this past season, the player has been used at regular intervals by Unai Emery.

Mkhitaryan went on to play in 39 games for the Gunners but now it looks like he could be on his way out.

While Henrikh Mkhitaryan is primarily an attacking midfielder but last season he spent most of his times down the wing and now it looks like Emery is planning to replace him with an out-and-out winger.

Reports have suggested that Arsenal are close to signing former Atletico Madrid man Yannick Carrasco.

The North London club did try to bring in Yannick Carrasco during the January transfer window but Dalian Yifang – the Chinese club where is currently plays wanted £25 million for the winger.

And the Gunners were not able to afford him then.

Now though it looks like a deal might have been struck between the two clubs and Yannick Carrasco is set to become the first major signing at the Emirates this summer.

Emery brought in Denis Suarez at the start of this year on loan from Barcelona but that transfer failed miserably which means the Spanish boss has no other option but to turn for Yannick Carrasco once more.

While the transfer fee for the winger has not yet been revealed but some reports claim that the Chinese club have demanded somewhere in the region of £26 million.

While this is the initial demand but surely, Arsenal will not be willing to pay so much for Yannick Carrasco given that Emery only has around £45 million to spend during the summer transfer window.
