Manchester City suffered a shock 1-0 defeat at the hands of Wigan Athletic on Monday night and as a result, were knocked out of the FA Cup. But the defeat was only the start of the chaos that was about to follow.

Guardiola’s side went down to 10 men right on the stroke of half-time as Fabian Delph was given the marching order by the referee. And to add salt to the wounds Wigan took the lead in the 79th-minute courtesy a goal from Will Grigg – which eventually proved to be the match owner.

After the match was over Wigan fans rushed onto the pitch in order to celebrate with their team but there were a couple of home fans who tried to harass City striker Sergio Aguero and all hell broke loose.

One fan attempted to punch Aguero after which the striker got into a scuffle with him. A reporter has also claimed that the fan had spat on Aguero’s face.

After Aguero tried to get hold of the fan Wigan defender, Cheyenne Dunkley, City coach Mikel Arteta and physiotherapist Steven Lilley jumped in to break up the incident.
