It is not a secret that Manchester United have been quite mediocre during this season. Even the true fans were quite disappointed by the team’s performance.

The Premier League is always full of surprises, as we saw during this year’s final, in the case of Manchester United, to be honest, we didn’t have high expectations, until the end. It has been a disappointing end to a tumultuous season at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have been on a winless streak in nine of their last 11 games until they won vs Cardiff City. To top it off, even this year’s Premier League came to an end with the most unexpected way, there are more sports and games to wager, use the bonus code for Matchbook and find out all your choices.

The Manager

Solskjaer was only supposed to be the stop-gap between former manager Jose Mourinho and a future coach that was to be named in the offseason. But Manchester United’s unexpected improvement under the Norwegian landed him the full-time job.

The Red Devils’ top brass was only too eager to give him the job. Manchester United supporters can use the latest Sectorbet code to wager on games of other leagues in Europe. Since March 10th, Manchester United have won just twice in all competitions.

Their poor form began just days prior to Solskjaer signing a permanent deal. He has looked shell-shocked on the sidelines during the Red Devils’ poor run.

Is it likely that top names from around Europe will want to join the club and play under him?

It is doubtful.

Manchester United could have waited on naming a coach and possibly worked out a deal for Mauricio Pochettino. The Argentine has only taken a Tottenham side without its best player to the Champions League Final.

The Europa League

It is often said by players at top European clubs that they do not want to play in the Europa League. Manchester United will compete in the secondary tournament next season and it is doubtful they can attract top talent in the summer when those players could play Champions League football instead.

Reports indicated Solskjaer will be given a ridiculous £330 million to spend on new players. With the club’s tight purse strings last summer, it seems a bit of hyperbole. Juventus’ Paulo Dybala is one of the players linked to the club. But would the Argentine pass up Champions League football with Juventus or a possible move to Real Madrid for the Europa League?

The Scouting

Liverpool and Manchester City have excelled at scouting top talent and paying large transfer fees for those “must-have” players.

Manchester United have just shelled out high transfers fees and paid the price for poor scouting. Last summer’s signings Fred and Diogo Dalot have made a little impact despite costing a combined £74m.

There is a real worry at Old Trafford behind the scenes that Manchester United will slip far behind Liverpool in the same way the Reds fell from grace in the 1990s. Even if Manchester United splurge on players, the scouting isn’t in place to get the best for their money. Supporters should get ready for another sub-par season on the red side of Manchester.
