Arsenal will take on Chelsea in the Europa League final in Baku while Spurs will take on Liverpool in the Champions League final in Madrid.

This is surely a proud moment for all the English fans since both the finals will be an all-English affair. And to top it off, three out of the four finalists are from London.

But if reports are to be believed then if Arsenal go on to win the Europa League and if Spurs fail to beat Liverpool then it would be a real cause of concern for the Lilywhites fans.

Obviously, there will be a lot of banter given the fierce rivalry between both the clubs but right now we are not talking about that.

If Arsenal manage to beat Chelsea in the Europa League final then the Gunners will go straight into Pot 1 for the Champions League draw for the next season.

This might not be a big deal but if Spurs fail to beat Liverpool in the Champions League final then they would end up being in Pot 3.

As per the Mirror:

“The strongest pot is made up of the champions of England, Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Russia – and the Champions League winners.

“So far, that will include Man City, Barcelona, Juventus, PSG, Zenit and either Dortmund or Bayern.”

This means for Spurs to be drawn in Pot 2[in case Arsenal will the Europa League], they will need Chelsea to beat the Gunners at the Baku Olympic Stadium later this month.

Chelsea have already qualified for the Champions League next season by finishing in the top four of the Premier League.

But a lot is riding on this game for Unai Emery and his team.

If Arsenal fail to win the final then they will have to spend another year without Champions League football.
