Premier League sides Arsenal and Chelsea are likely to miss out on the signing of Achraf Hakimi since the player is not keen to join the English top division during the summer transfer window.

Recently, in a radio interview his agent has made it clear that the 22-year-old is more than happy with life in Italy and right now, he does not wish to leave Inter Milan for a new challenge.

“Hakimi is happy at Inter with Conte, who is an excellent coach,” his representative, Alejandro Camano, said, as quoted by TEAMtalk.

“Conte’s style of play suits Achraf and I think he will end up improving a lot because of this experience with the Nerazzurri.”

This will be a big blow for both Chelsea and Arsenal since both of them have been linked to the right-back multiple times over the past few months.

Some rumours have suggested that Inter Milan are likely to sell off a few players during the summer transfer window to generate funds and the name of Hakimi was supposedly on that list.

But it looks like the 22-year-old is not going anywhere which is a setback to Mikel Arteta’s transfer plans since he was looking to bring in Achraf Hakimi as a replacement to Hector Bellerin at right-back.

Chelsea though will not be too worried about this new development since Thomas Tuchel has Reece James in his side and the youngster is shaping up to become a world-class right-back.

It would have been lovely to see a talent like Achraf Hakimi playing in the Premier League next season but the move’s not likely to happen – not at least during this upcoming summer transfer window.

The Moroccan international is primarily a right-back but this season he has played mainly as a right-sided midfielder for Inter Milan but has still managed to score six goals along with five assists.
