Rangers FC have signed 15 players during the summer transfer window and Steven Gerrard has more or less remodelled almost every department.
While the Light Blues manager has sent heaps of players out of the club either permanently or on loans but it seems that his biggest sale might not have happened yet.
We are talking about Alfredo Morelos.
Morelos was one of the key players for Rangers last season and the Colombian has picked up the 2018-19 season right where he left off. And this fine run infront of the goal means that a number of European clubs now want his services.
French club Bordeaux were interested in signing up the striker during the summer and they even offered £3 million for the 22-year-old.
But Rangers had made it clear that they will not accept anything less than £15 million for Alfredo Morelos which meant that Bordeaux backed off and the striker remained at the club for one more season.
Now though, Alfredo Morelos has made a statement which will surely cause a fair bit of stir amongst the Gers fans and many will hope that the club sell him off before things turn sour.
Morelos recently said that it was his dream of playing in the Premier League someday and he was training hard every day so that an EPL club notices him.
Morelos said: “I dream every day of playing in the Premier League. I want to improve in each training session so I can get there,”
Now we all know how an offer from England can break the will of many a good player and if Rangers do not offload Morelos at the right time then Gerrard will surely have to tackle a displeased player.
While there no news of an EPL club’s interest in Alfredo Morelos but if the striker keeps scoring goals on a regular basis then surely an English club will take notice of him.
Reports had claimed that Bordeaux were willing to pay around £7 million for the Colombian and if the Light Blues management is sensible enough then they should take the money and set Morelos free – with a hefty sell-on clause obviously.
